Punk + Post-Punk + Power Pop

There were many musical wars being waged as the seventies got dragged into the eighties, but many people have never even heard of TV Smith and some think that 1979 is just another number.

Well fuck that. Here is a collection of killer 5P (punk/post-punk/power-pop) that represents the disco years through the ears of the Civil Civic boys.

Each track has been lovingly re-mixed and ultra-boosted (using the CC’s very own top-secret sound-good machine “The Box”) then hand-stitched together into a brutal 42 minutes of 5P goodness that will punch the little cones out of your laptop speakers and make you smash up all of your own stuff.

The combination of all that raw 5P energy and The Box’s tight, beefy additions serves up this classic sound in a format never heard before. If you get a chance hear them deejay this shit on a big system, fucking run for it.

It’s unhealthy and frightening and retro-futuristic and easily the messiest night of your life so far.
