Dear members of Julie Tippex Girls in Post-punk’s Society,
Dear friends, dear promoters,

After collaborations with ESG, The Raincoats, Bush Tetras along many others, and just back from the wonderful performance of YOUNG MARBLE GIANTS at Royal Festival Hall in London for David Byrne’s Meltdown, Julie Tippex is proud to present a couple of projects who are available for performances this autumn and winter :

First, the reformation of cult British band MAXIMUM JOY for Simple Things festival in Bristol October 24th and an other show in London October 27th to be announced soon. Formed in the wake of the break-up of The Pop Group and Glaxo Babies and with a cult following with the likes of Andrew Weatherall and Optimo, Maximum Joy’s “Disco not disco” strikes back after 25 years and is open to booking offers for October 2015 + February and Summer 2016 | Maximum Joy reformation in Crack magazine | Website | Soundcloud | Booking contact

Also coming to Europe this winter for their first European tour, MOSS LIME (file under ESG, Young Marble Giants, Neo Boys, The Raincoats, The Feelies, Freelove Fenner) from Montreal with the release of their first 10 inches on Telephone Explosion (Bruce Haak, Ty Segall) after a first EP on Fixture records. Moss Lime will perform at BBmix festival with Half Japanese, Thee Dead Clodettes but also NOTS from Memphis, Tennessee, a longtime collaboration between constant members Natalie Hoffmann (guitar) and Charlotte Watson (drums). With an album on Goner Records (Quintron) to be released in November by Heavenly Recordings, they will play as well at Le Guess Who and tour again in Jan-Feb 2016 and May 2016 | Pitchfork Review | Live Studio | Booking contact.

Last but not least, Camille and Constance from ROSA VERTOV / MAKING WAVES fanzine just launched a new version of their website which includes their playlist “Girls on tape : Video gems from the 80’s”, a serie of video playlists parents of their fantastic compilations Gunilla Mixtapes they’ve realised for our night Club Julie, along a “Typical Girls” poster which is now available for download. Woop woop !
