The DJ Jeff Mills, one of the inventors of the Detroit Techno sound back in the late 80s, is one of the planetary superstars of Techno.  However, the man is more complex than he first appears, embodying an artistic ambition which reaches far beyond simple Techno music and into electronic music, leagues ahead of his fellow DJs.

Part of the glorious history of electronic music, Jeff Mills is also a film buff; the previous years saw him play to  “Metropolis”, Buster Keaton’s “Three Ages”, Jeff Mills’ “Woman in The Moon”, “Fantastic Voyage” and more. Other Art projects included the sound environment of the exhibition “Diaspora” at the Musée du Quai Branly in Paris, “Mono”, a sculpture-installation dedicated to Kubrick’s “2001” at the Sonar Festival in Barcelona, presitigious collaborations with La Cinémathèque, La Cité de la Musique, Le Centre Pompidou in Paris and more.

Mills – who now lives part-time in Chicago and Paris –  is working on several new projects featuring film, video, dancers, installations: “Star Children” (New Form Festival, Vancouver, 2013); “Oneness” (Tokyo and Paris, 2013); “The Gateway” with dancer Raphaelle Delaunay (Marseille, 2013); “Chronicles of Possible Worlds” at Fondation Vasarely in Aix-en-Provence (November 2013), “Extensions” with video artist Jacques Perconte, “Time Tunnel” a all-night long spectacular show that fills up La Machine du Moulin Rouge in Paris every 6-month. Last but not least, Jeff’s projects with a symphonic orchestra play sold-out shows every time.
