Intonarumori!
Yesterday was the first concert in France featuring Intonarumori since 1929!
Luigi Russolo’s original Intonarumori (in Italian literally “noise player”) were all destroyed during World War II.
Wessel Westerveld reconstructed several from three photos, a few plans and 20 minutes of audio recording.
He was accompanied yesterday by Yuri Landman and his homemade instruments. It was part of the “Vitesse” exhibition at the Château de Compiègne.
